Cooking for two days is pretty great – it makes day two a complete breeze! Here we're using yesterday's leftover meat sauce as filling in warm pitas with veggies and herb dressing. Enjoy!

Directions

1. Heat the meat sauce in a pot or the microwave.

2. Rinse tomatoes, cucumber and bell pepper and cut the lot into bite-sized chunks. Rinse the lettuce, peel the carrots and cut into sticks for snack veggies.

3. Warm the pitabreads in the oven, for 30-60 seconds in the microwave, or in a toaster.

4. Place all ingredients on the table in small bowls, and let the whole family assemble their own favourite pitas. Serve the carrots on the side. Enjoy!

Tip

Tasks for younger kids in the kitchen: Let your kids help rinse and cut the veggies.
