Yum! These Nutella truffles are as sinful as they are simple to make! Really, the only challenge is that of your patience while the truffles cool. Get excited - and enjoy!
Directions
1. Break up the chocolate and place in a pot with cream and Nutella. Heat while stirring until the chocolate is melted and you have a uniform substance. It should never reach a rolling boil, just a comfy simmer.
2. Remove from the heat and pour into a bowl. Pop in the fridge for 2-3 hours, or 1-2 hours in the freezer.
3. In the meantime, roast the hazelnuts on a dry pan until lightly golden and fragrant. Let cool, and roll between your palms so the peels come off. Give the nuts a spin in a mini chopper or food processor until finely chopped. Lay the chopped nuts on a flat plate.
4. Once the chocolate mass has hardened, use a spoon to carve out balls the size of large marbles. Roll each one round with your hands - not for too long, or the chocolate will start to melt. Then roll in the chopped hazelnuts, and pop back in the fridge for about half an hour.
5. It's FINALLY time to eat - and it's worth the wait, trust us! Enjoy!
Tip
Tasks for kids in the kitchen: Let your kids help break up the chocolate, add ingredients to the pot and stir. They can also shape the truffles and roll them in hazelnut.
