Hummus makes for a super tasty dip for vegetables, or as a spread on sandwiches or bread. You can buy it ready at the supermarket, but it takes at most 10 minutes to make your own version. And it's super tasty. Enjoy!
Directions
1. Drain the chickpea brine into a bowl - you'll need it in a moment. Blend chickpeas, garlic, tahini, olive oil, salt, cumin and the juice from the half lime in a food processor or mini chopper. Add some of the chickpea brine and maybe a little more olive oil until the hummus has a beautiful creamy consistency.
2. Add more lime, salt or cumin to taste, if needed.
3. Enjoy!
Tip
Tahini is a sesame paste found in most supermarkets, usually in the World Foods aisle. If you can't find tahini at your local co-op, you can leave it out in a pinch!
