Sausage rolls are the perfect snack for on-the-go or in packed lunches. Here's a gorgeous, spongey recipe with yoghurt, butter, and of course ketchup. If Greggsian flakeyness is a must, grab some filo pastry from the supermarket – but we highly suggest trying our easy dough recipe, which makes the rolls nice and filling. Enjoy!

Directions

1. Melt the butter. Mix boiled water and yoghurt to be lukewarm, then crumble in the yeast until dissolved. Add salt and melted butter, then stir in the flour little by little, until the dough lets go of the bowl.

2. Knead away until the dough is supple. Split into four sections, and roll each into a circle about 1 cm thick. Cut each circle into 8 triangles, like a pizza. Spread a bit of ketchup on each triangle, pop a bit of sausage on top and roll it up. Remember that the pointy tip of the dough should be facing down, lest your rolls unroll in the oven.

3. Let the sausage rolls rest for an hour under a dishcloth, then brush with eggwash.

4. Preheat your oven to 185 degrees convection and bake the sausage rolls for 10-15 minutes, or until golden on top.

5. Enjoy!
