Hummus makes for a super yummy dip for dinner or packed lunches. Here we've made a hummus with kidney beans, which make it a bit softer and sweeter than normal. Enjoy!
Directions
1. Drain the brine from the kidney beans into a bowl - you'll need it in a minute. Blend kidney beans, garlic, tahini, olive oil, salt, cumin and the juice from half a lemon in a food processor or mini chopper.
2. Add some of the kidney bean brine, until the hummus has a nice and creamy consistency.
3. Season with some more lemon, salt and cumin, if needed.
4. Enjoy!
Tip
Tasks for kids in the kitchen: Let your kids help pour everything into the food processor. They can also help taste the hummus.
Tahini is a sesame paste, which you'll find in most supermarkets and Asian markets. If you can't find any tahini, you can leave it out in a pinch!
