Woohoo! The sun is shining and what's better than ice pops? And it's not hard at all to make your own slightly-less-sinful version from frozen bananas, coated with dark chocolate and chopped almonds. Enjoy!

Directions

1. Peel and halve the bananas. Carefully insert an ice cream stick into the flat end, where you split it. Place the bananas on a plate covered with baking parchment and pop into the freezer for 4-5 hours.

2. Finely chop almonds in a mini chopper or with a sharp knife. Melt the chocolate in a bain marie or in the microwave. Once the bananas are frozen, you can either pour the chocolate over, or dip the bananas into the chocolate and immediately sprinkle with chopped almonds.

3. Pop the bananas back in the freezer for 30 minutes - and it's finally dessert time! Enjoy!

Tip

Tasks for kids in the family: Let your kids help cut the bananas. They can of course also help melt the chocolate, put sticks in the bananas and sprinkle almonds.
