Popovers are SUPER yummy! They're sort of the magical lovechild of profiteroles and yorkshire puds, and they're as divine as they sound. We've brushed these with melted butter and coated them in cinnamon sugar - and you can add a filling if you fancy, like custard, Nutella or jam. Enjoy!

Directions

1. Mix egg, milk, salt and plain flour in a bowl, then mix using a hand (or regular) blender until you have a smooth batter. Pour the batter into a jug or bowl with a spout.

2. Oil some muffin tins - use a pastry brush if you have one. Fill the muffin tins halfway and place into a cold oven. Switch your oven on to 230 degrees and bake for 25-30 minutes until they're a deep golden. IMPORTANT NOTE: do not open the oven while they're baking, or they'll collapse like a cartoon soufflé.

3. Meanwhile, mix sugar and cinnamon, and melt the butter in a pot or the microwave.

4. Take the finished popovers out of the oven and let cool a bit. Then brush with melted butter, and coat with cinnamon sugar.

5. Enjoy!

Tip

Tasks for kids in the kitchen: Let your kids add the ingredients to the bowl/blender. They can also happily help mix sugar and cinnamon - and taste the finished product!
