Herb butter with lemon, thyme and garlic

  • organic lemon
  • 0.5 bunchfresh thyme- or dried
  • 1 clovegarlic
  • 75 gramsbutter
  •  pepper
  •  baking parchment

Here's the recipe for easy herb butter with lemon, thyme and garlic. Enjoy!

Directions

1. Rinse the lemon and zest on the fine side of a grater (or a zester, if you have one).

2. Rinse a handful of fresh thyme and finely chop it - or use 1-2 tsp. dried thyme. Press or finely chop the garlic, and mix with softened butter, pepper, lemon zest and thyme.

3. Spread the butter lengthways on a piece of baking parchment, and roll into a sausage shape. You can also put the butter in a small bowl. Pop in the freezer for about 30 minutes, and it's ready!

4. Serve the herb butter with baby potatoes, corn cobs or on a nice steak.

5. Enjoy!

Tip

Tasks for younger kids in the kitchen: Let your kids help zest the lemon, chop thyme and mix the butter all together.
