Milkshakes are a great way of getting fruit and milk into the kids - and you can happily leave out the syrup and whipped cream, so they're not as sinful. Here's a classic banana milkshake. Enjoy!
Directions
1. Peel the bananas - if your bananas are on the small side, you might want to add an extra. Add bananas, whole milk, syrup, vanilla sugar and ice cubes to a blender, or use a hand blender in a jug. Blend on full whack, until totally smooth and chunk-free.
2. 'Season' with syrup and vanilla sugar to taste.
3. Serve in glasses, topped with whipped cream and a straw. Ideally one not made of plastic..!
4. Enjoy!
Tip
Tasks for younger kids in the kitchen: Let your kids help add all of the ingredients to the blender. They can of course help taste the milkshake, too!
