Here at Mambeno we love hot dogs! Both the classic version with ketchup, mustard and fried onions, but also with slightly alternative toppings, such as this delicious mango salsa, a good and fresh alternative to the immortal classic. Enjoy!
Directions
1. Peel the mango. Cut off both ends, so you can stand the mango upright on your cutting board. Remove the flesh on both sides of the stone and finely dice it. Wash the bell pepper, remove the seeds and finely dice that as well.
2. Mix the mango and bell pepper with a bit of parsley or other herbs if you have any knocking about. Add honey and a small bit of lime juice to taste. If your kids like onions, mix in some finely chopped onion or red onion into the salsa.
3. Cook the hot dog sausages on a pan or throw them on the grill if the weather permits. Warm the rolls in the oven or toss those on the grill as well.
4. Put sausages, rolls, salsa and toppings on the table along with rinsed bell pepper and cucumber sticks for snack veggies, and let the family assemble their favourite hot dog.
5. Munch away! Enjoy!
